热带印度洋-太平洋海温主模态对中国南部秋季降水异常的影响

    基于HadISST逐月海温数据,对热带印度洋-太平洋海区海温场主模态及其组合进行了分析,结果表明三种类型的El Ni?o事件中,在东部型(EP)和对称中部型(CPⅠ)发展年,热带印度洋东部及海洋性大陆降水呈负异常,印-太海区Walker环流减弱,赤道印度洋呈现东风异常,根据Bjerknes反馈,东印度洋海温呈负异常,易形成正位相IOD(PIOD)事件。而非对称中部型(CPⅡ)与IOD事件无相关性。进一步对印-太海区海温场主模态及其组合与中国南部秋季降水异常的关系进行分析发现,独立EP型、独立CPⅠ型、EP与PIOD组合型及CPⅠ与PIOD组合型四种模态下,在赤道印度洋及热带太平洋暖湿气流的作用下,中国东南部秋季降水呈正异常,其中独立EP型、独立CPⅠ型和CPⅠ与PIOD组合型对中国东南部的局地水汽净输入以纬向贡献为主,而EP与PIOD组合型由于西太平洋副热带高压的异常西伸,水汽沿副高西南边缘向北输送进入中国东南部,对中国东南部的局地水汽净输入以经向贡献为主。CPⅡ El Ni?o事件发展年,中国南部大部分地区秋季降水异常偏少。独立PIOD事件发展年,中国西南部地区秋季降水表现为正异常,而东南部呈负异常。

    Abstract:

    Based on monthly sea surface temperature (SST) data derived from HadISST, the tropical Indo-Pacific SST modes and their combination modes are studied, the results show that the positive abnormal precipitation appeared in the eastern tropical Indian Ocean and maritime continent and the Walker circulation weakened over Indo-Pacific region during eastern Pacific (EP) El Ni?o and symmetric central Pacific (CPⅠ) El Ni?o developing years, which results in the surface easterly anomalies off Java-Sumatra. Under the Bjerknes feedback, the abnormal easterlies lead to cold SST anomalies off Java-Sumatra, which is favorable for the formation of positive IOD events. Whereas, asymmetric central Pacific (CPⅡ) El Ni?o events are not related to the IOD events. And the relationship between SST modes and their combination modes over Indo-Pacific region and the autumn precipitation anomalies in the southern part of China were further investigated by composite analysis. The results show that during the single EP El Ni?o, single CPⅠ El Ni?o, the combination of EP El Ni?o and positive IOD (PIOD),and the combination of CPⅠ El Ni?o and PIOD developing years, the autumn precipitation occurred positive anomalies due to the effect of warm and moist air from equatorial Indian Ocean and tropical Pacific. Under the Indi-Pacific region SST modes, the moisture which is related to the positive abnormal autumn precipitation in southeast China is contributed by the zonal transportation, except EP&PIOD modes. During EP&PIOD developing years, the western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH) further extended to the west resulting in the moisture transport north into southeast China along the southwest boundary of WPSH, therefore, the moisture which is related to the positive abnormal autumn precipitation in southeast China is contributed by the meridional transportation. Whereas, the autumn precipitation appeared negative anomalies in the southern part of China during CPⅡ El Ni?o developing years. In addition, during the single PIOD developing years, the positive abnormal autumn precipitation occurred in the southwest China and negative abnormal autumn precipitation occurred in the southeast China.
