This paper statistically analyzes the onset time and height of metric,decameter-hectometric(DH) type Ⅱ radio bursts,and solar energetic particle(SEP) events during Solar cycle 23.Results show that the three events occur in sequence after occurrence of solar flares and coronal mass ejections(CMEs),with their onset heights in ascending order.Onset time and height of the type Ⅱ radio bursts has nothing to do with whether SEP happens.However,there is a greater statistical probability of SEP events for CMEs accompanied by metric and DH type Ⅱ radio bursts.
