Data used come from 75 stations over China for 1957—1977.All factors in the formula and the calculating method are analyzed and compared. This results in a method more suitable for climatological calculation of total radiation for our country. Also, the spatial distributions of annual and monthly total insolation over the country are computed and shown on maps separately.
