The snow cover data with the confidence information in Northeast China during 2000—2005 winters are extracted from the Terra MODIS products in this paper.The results can be used as the input in some hydrological models,and can be also used to study the feedback of regional snow-cover to climate.The intensity of cold air activities in winter and the snow-melting status in the next spring in 2000—2005 over Northeast China are analyzed using the snow-cover data set obtained in this paper.
